Default Car Recommendations

I'm looking to buy a used car that costs less than $10,000.

I am looking for an older car that looks somewhat like these:

I don't have a specific brand or model in mind, just something that looks like the cars above, so how would I find used cars like those on Craigslist, or through other means? Any suggestions?

And I'd like to apologize if my post seems naive or such, I know virtually nothing about cars and I thought I'd start here.

Thanks in advance

Those cars are all classic collectables and thus are very expensive!! I doubt that $10,000 would get you anything that was any good. A good example of some of the above cars you posted will be upwards of $50,000

Craigs List or most other sites have theses kinds of cars but if you know "virtually nothing about cars" you are likely to get taken or scammed!

You need to have someone you trust and who knows cars well and have them look at the cars with you.

Thanks for the reply, and as for actually purchasing a car, I'll bring an experienced person I trust with me and take all the necessary precautions.

And as for the budget, I said $10,000 because it seemed like I could get a car that looked somewhat like the ones in the pictures for around that much based on Craigslist listings.

Those cars are collector cars, if you find one for $10,000 it might "look" good, but under shiny paint can be rust and poor body work. This may come to the surface a year later or sooner and any value is then lost.

If you bring a knowledgeable car person with you hopefully they will be able to look for telltale signs of a poor restoration.
