![]() Hi everyone.
This is my first post. I recently bought an '05 Dodge Dakota. This truck is bare bones vehicle, automatic transmission, 3.7 engine, crew cab; not much more than that. I realize it's a 3.7 V6, but I wanted to know if there was a way to get some sound out of it. Thanks in advance, James |

![]() Sound as in engine sound? Or music sound?
I guess with it being a V6 you should be able to get a nice sound from it. Though not in the same fashion as you would for the V8 version. Traditional Borla and Flowmaster sound like crap on v6's unless you get the "import muffler". I would suggest getting a cold air intake, and then a nice Apexi, HKS, Greddy, NGK, Skunk2...etc. They are bit pricey, but coupled with 2.5-3" cat back exhaust piping and it should sound killer. Just please dont go to autozone and get a $100 fart can!

![]() Glass packs on a V6? That would just sound terrible.

![]() standard exhaust upgrade like flow master or borla the 3.7V6 is more like a V8 it'll sound fine My jeep 3.7 sounds great just on the factory exhaust with out upgrade. I would look for a cat back kit though if you can that's the best way to go
