Default First car choosing between 2000 civic cx, or 2001 civic SI coupe

2001 Civic SI Coupe: 240,000 KM, 5 speed, sunroof, says excellent shape, drives a1(dunno what that means), inspected until October 2015, goodyear winter tires on rims, ready for winter. Just inspected last week, no rust. This car is $3000

2000 Honda Civic CX Hatchback: $2800, 170100 KM on it, 1.6L, 5speed, new windshield, two new front lower ball joints, RTX 10k HID's, or regular bulbs, tinted taillights, regular oil changes, doesn't burn oil, comes with 2 12" Orion subs in box. Needs minimal body work for common spots on civics.

I know nothing about cars, which one is more powerful would you say? This is my first car and I've narrowed it down to these two, and they're kinda the same aside for me wanting more power, but I don't know which is better. help!!!

Thanks!

The CX was the base model, and the Si is the top trim. The Si has a 1.7L VTEC engine with 127hp, while the CX's 1.6 only has 106hp.

The Si is more powerful and just the better choice overall. The CX has HIDs and subs, which pretty much guarantees it's been beat on by a teenager.

Yeah every Si has vtec.

Dunno what drives a1 means, ask the seller. It really doesn't make any sense, it doesn't mean anything.

*East Indian Accent*

Drives A-1, fantastic. Ek dum (Absolutely), number 1. It was mind blasting. You did not blow my mind. You blasted my mind.

/accent

Something like that. That's my best educated guess.

Plus, it sounds like the CX was modded by some wanna-be racer. Tinted taillights? Big ass subs? HIDs on a CIVIC? No thank you. It might not burn oil, but I bet it burns rice

The 6th gen Civic Si was arguably the best of all the Si generations. Much more fun car, faster too. I would go for that if it checks out.

Either way, you're going to want to get whatever car you choose inspected by an independent mechanic before you buy it.
