Default Cars with iOS?

Hey, I've just come across this today and to be quite honest, I don't know what to think of it.

Cars are set to be introducing Apples iOS systems next year, although Honda may not even be waiting until then: Honda First Out of the Gate with "iOS in the Car" This Month - Patently Apple

Using a system like iOS in a car complete with the voice command controlling things such as heating, your satnav and stereo seems very futuristic, and it's surprised me to see how far technology has come in the past few years.

It also provides good implications for safety as well, as you won't even need to take your eyes off the road with Apple's new "Siri Eyes Free system": iOS Mirroring Set to be Added to 2014 Honda Range | Car and motor industry news

While it's quite clear that this is the way forward for the future, I'm still very cautious about it. I can see the voice commands especially being very temperamental, and to be honest I wouldn't like one in my car. Is it just me that's quite old fashioned like this?

Not new - Ford has a similar system (and most other manufacturers do, just not as fully integrated).

Ford has faced VERY significant backlash on their system. Specifically how the heating and air conditioning and everything is integrated and doesn't work well. I don't know the specifics on Apple's system.
