Default Sim's 97 Honda Civic

Hey guys. I've had this thing since March and I never made a thread yet (slap)

Anyways, I got a 97 Civic LX for $1500. Had 209,605 miles when I left the dudes driveway (Found it on my local classifieds..) It's the 1.6L D16Y7 Non Vtec. Kinda gutless. 5 speed though

Here's a pic of when I first got it:

A few weeks after I got it I traded the steelies for a set of Integra GSR rims (15"'s FTW)

Since I got it here are a few things that have happened with it
- Blew it up with 218,604 miles
- Swapped the motor out
- Put a fart can on it
- Lost said fart can
- Did an LED mod on the gauge cluster
- Put a JVC head unit in it

Other than me being a idiot and blowing it up, it's never gave me any troubles. I do need to replace the CVs though, starting to click really bad when I go around corners

When it blew up I went bezerk and stomped the windshield in, beat the rear quarter panel in and kicked my door (slap)(slap)(slap)

A few engine swap pics

(The PVC cold air intake was on it when I bought the car)

And just recently I hit a deer:

Painted my center piece on my dash

My LED mod for my gauge cluster and climate controls

(The cluster broke when I stomped the windshield in, I kicked the top of the dash)

Made a plug for the LED strip, and used a female connector and wired it into the cluster harness.

Painted my needles but used old ****ty model car paint and it spread like crap. I'm going to redo these someday..

And here's a few pics of the car as it is right now!

The headliner was nasty and the trim was all cracked so I just said the hell with it. Going to hit a junkyard up soon when I get money to replace those

My to do list as of now is
- Get the CVs replaced
- Replace fenders, hood, and both bumpers, along with the headlights
- Replace rear quarter panel
- Paint job
- Interior work
- Get new brakes all around (still decent but I want Raybestos on all 4's)

That's all I can think of for now. I'll update this when I get more done to it.

Nice ranger in the background lol.

This makes me want to get a $500 civic and treat it like crap

They hold up! This thing's been abused, beaten on, red lined, jumped, used for rally car duty, everything! And the only thing I REALLY need to do is the CV's

And that Ranger was scrapped back at the end of August lol

Got my taxes back! Got a bunch of stuff from the U-pull it yard!

Was going to replace all 4 doors with manual windows/locks but I am just sticking to power (They didn't have any unmolested manual doors). I also snagged the trim for my A, B, and C pillars. Got a new gas door too lol. Civic sunvisors too. I thought it would be cool to swap CRX sunvisors in but I hate them lol. They hooked me up too, cause they didn't mark a bunch more misc stuff down such as a few sensors and some emblems.
