Default Air intake resonator hose fell off...

Hi, I have a 2007 Honda Accord automatic. Yesterday, I noticed my car was idling weak, and today it was starting to stall at stop signs.

I looked under the hood and noticed the resonator hose was not attached to the intake hose.

I put it back on and everything seems to be running fine again.

I am wondering how much damage this may have caused, thanks for any help!

I can't remember exactly what it looks like on your car. If it's BEFORE the air filter, no problem at all, all it does is take in cold air.

If it's AFTER the air filter, between the air filter and the throttle body, it is "possible" that you got some unfiltered air in the engine. But if you found this shortly after it began running poorly, I doubt you suffered any consequences. I've found many engines with the air intake boot loose or even off. It would take many miles of dusty roads to cause a serious problem.

Rest easy.
