You are going to need some good car wash, a sponge or some type of scrubby thing and some patience.

First, wash the car and rinse it. Then run your hand over it. If the paint is not super smooth you probably need to clay bar the car. Clay barring is easy, basically you get a kit from an auto store and you knead the clay into a bar, then spray lube on the car and rub the clay across it. The clay is the consistency of modeling clay.

Once the car is smooth to the touch from clay barring, buff and wax it. Use carnauba wax.

Don't use a sponge, get a nice microfiber wash mitts, 2 buckets, one for plain water and one for soapy water, buy microfiber towels. Get some megs gold wash soap. You can get into clay barring, polishing etc if your really into that kind of thing. Lol
