Default 2015 SRX Poor gas mileage

My city driving gas mileage has averaged 7 mpg over the last 3000 miles, out of a total 7500 miles. I drive very conservatively with the ECO activated and tires fully inflated. The sticker forecast 17 mpg. My previous car a Buick SUV with a similar engine gave me 14 mpg. Does anyone else have this mileage problem?

depends on driving conditions, are you driving same way on same roads you drove your buick? are you driving in a city? when i drive in nyc i get 14mpg from my 2016 sonata that usualy gets me 30-34 on a highway. also having ac or front defog on (turns ac compressor regardless of heat setting) will hit your mpg,
before i'd do anything, i'd reset the mpg counter, and see if mpg would change over few hundred miles. if that that still shows your mpg is that bad, see dealer, there could be some fuel\air mix issues, or transmission shifts late. you only got 7500 on it, so warranty should cover it.

How are you calculating mpg? The only real way to do so is to set your trip each tank of gas and divide the number of miles traveled by the number of gallons it takes to fill up again.
