Default Tuning a Subie

So I have a Subaru impreza 2014 (not a wrx or sti) and I was wondering if i could put a turbo in it? would I have to change out any other parts to make the turbo compatible?

You're going to have a very tough time making a stock impreza turbo. You are going to spend A LOT of time and money converting it to a turbo. And tuning doesn't mean sitting in your engine bay with a screwdriver and fiddling with some tuning. It's all computer based. It's all about ECM and ECU's now. You would have saved a lot of money going with a WRX. It's pretty hard to turbo a stock N/A impreza. You're going to have to make room for down pipes and waste gates and the car will be off the road more than you will be driving it. If you're looking for a car to just plug in and tune, this is not the one.

It's going to cost you more to do those modifications than if you were to just sell it and buy an older WRX.

While the chassis/platform is the same as the WRX, there's a lot more that goes into this than I think you realize.

Yes it is possible. Turbo kits are sold online. I also watched a YouTube Video where a mechanic converted a non turbo Impreza to a Turbo loaded car.
