Default Is there power to be made in the 20062013 Impala/Malibu?

I was wondering if the Impalas and Malibu's platform would be able to produce somewhere between 300-350hp. I would love to make one of these a sleeper project. Have a bone stock looking one, not one that looks like an undercover police car. Something that your grandmother would drive. And fit 350 horses under the hood and blast away civics. What would be the main ingredients to producing this kind of power without having to pay the premium prices of the SS models. Thanks.

Any particular reason why you're looking at that platform for a sleeper build? Later gen Malibus and Impalas already have 250-300 HP.

I'm not sure why, it just seemed like a very unsuspecting car that no one would think twice about racing. What would you suggest as a sleeper?

I've been looking for a sleeper build recently.

I'd go with a Bonneville SSEi
