Default The Camaro Comeback

Well, looks like the good 'ol Camaro will make a comeback in 2009. Here are some pics of the concept.

Thoughts?

Why does it have a chevy badge not a camaro badge? looks weird with that.

Also does that mean they're bringing the firebird/trans am back again?

I think it looks like crap just like I've thought of every camaro mockup I've ever seen.

I'm a former '97 Camaro owner (totaled) and will actually probably buy one of the same year, model, transmission, color... everything... within the next few days. (They're not easy to find)

It does look pretty stupid, why couldn't they have gone the route that Dodge did with the new challenger, that thing looks ultra bad ass.

I think it looks like a somewhat retro chop top version of the late sixties camaro. I personally think that retro is lame. The reason things progress is due to R&D. Obviolsly trying to make something look like the old camaro would be a step back in aerodynamics. But then again I think that it brings back a little bit of the past to remind us all of the roots. But all in all originality ends up being duplicated until it is mundane. Look at the PT cruiser. the concept was awesome. but once you put a hundred thousand on the road it looks like an ugly has been. Now if you produce a limited edition camaro or charger then you have something special. I personally would like to pick up a hertz mustang. due to the limited production numbers. It would be a car that actualy rare. I once had a shleby CSX and I loved it because of its nice performance and its under hood badge telling me that it was #258 out of 500.
I knew that my car was one of 500. I actually had two cars. one of which was a parts car. i sold both for 6000usd to a collector. The cars were more or less a dodge shadow that was turbo charged. I think i made out good for the cars. The new owner actually had several shelby cars including a 1965 shelby cobra, and a 1966 gt-350 hertz "rent a racer". That car was fast. I replaced itwith a 92 integra with a LS/vtec engine. It was stolen when I move to phoenix. i now have the Frog [del sol] I have plans for the Sol.
i always had a place in my heart for the 60's muscle cars. I loved the 69 camaro, 66 charger, and 65 mustang. those in my eye are the ultimate muscle car. todays cars are knock offs. I consider myself to be a car aficionado, so all cars hold a place in my heart. I love cars that most don't. Look at. the 1967
The 1962 Plymouth fury

I love all cars. Every once in a while you get a car that sticks out. recently i would pick the plymouth prowler. The chevy SSR, and the lotus elise. Maybe a few others, but these are the ones that I think are special.
