Default Whats everyones thoughts on a Sentra SE-R SPEC V?

I'm in the market for a new car since I've had my daughter and my lil' ole truck isn't any good anymore. I'm wanting something that is a four door, BUT I don't want to look like a golf pants wearing dad either, so I'm interested in all these new "sport" sedans. I figured get a black SE-R, lower it an inch or two and get a nice set of rims and call it quits. Obviously move all my stereo stuff over though

My brother owns a 2005 Spec-V, and they drive all right, but overall I don't like them. They seem pretty cheapy inside, and the seat material scratches your skin really bad (go leather maybe? if it's an option? i dunno). His reverse block (you know what that is if you own one) broke really soon. Still under warranty, but it's shouldn't break. Engine pulls pretty darn good, but feels jerky overall.

I'd say get a base model lancer or WRX impreza. They still have that japanese sport feel, but 4 doors, and can look very nice with a good set of wheels.

Yeah, I was thinking Lancer as well, but I see those every where, but I'm go to KBB.com and see what the going rate is. Thanks, REP+

Any others?

Also, I have no idea where to go to buy aftermarket stuff for imports. Where are some good places? Namely for suspension....

That one you posted looks awesome, the interior on the sentra is quite bland though, but I figure that you know how to change that so I would say get one if you plan to get some decent looking wheels like the one in the picture.

There are numerous vendors for the aftermarket equipment for imports, just log onto a sentra specv forum and see what everyone recommends. When you say suspension do you mean replacing the sway bars, control arms, bushings, springs, shocks, all of that fun stuff? Or just the springs/shocks?

A bit pricey but gotta love the TSX for that sport sedan feel and what a beautiful interior.

It is a nice car, but the new Lancer will own it in every aspect, and a newer 2 generations of the WRX will also out perform it all the time. I drive my friends WRX alot, and it rivals my BMW in handling.

I wouldn't spend that cash of a Sentra, there are better things for the cash.

I definitely agree, for that money I'd pick up a Scooby WRX or a Lancer. WRX takes my preference, I just like the looks better

You could also get an old 3-Series for that kind of money, but I'm not sure if you were considering only new cars or what.

Or maybe a sporty crossover SUV type thing...like the Nissan Murano perhaps? Could pick up an '03 model for roughly 20K. More space for the growing family
