Default Which is the better choice IYO?

1982 Ford F150 (the pic is the '81 version, the one I'm looking at isn't a stepside, and it doesnt sit *as* high...is a purpleish blue- like LegoMans trucks paint almost)

A 1970 Chevy C20 (3/4 ton...sits a *little* higher, but not by much and is a dark blue)

Or a 1968 Chevy C10 (1/2 ton....sits a little lower, and is and orangish/red)

The guy with the F150 wants $2200, it has dents in both doors and in the tail gate (nothing major, looks like it was a work truck and got a paint job slapped on it. Looks nice, new tires, clean, bed is in good shape, comes with an extra set of wheels/tires (wheels look stock, but the tires look more "streetish" [not as much "knobbies"]). Straight six, standard.

The same guy owns the Chevies, and wants $2800 a peice of both of them. Both look like they got a new paint job, but the C20 looks somewhat beat up, the bed's "grooves" are almost flattened [hard to explain], interior looks "bleh", but has new rims/tires- comes with an aftermarket AC, if that accounts for anything. Automatic.

The C10 looks more of a street truck, the tires and wheels are new, has a 305 in it (C20 doesnt say...350?), the paint looks new, it doesnt look beat up at all, interior is "fine", but its an automatic like the C10. In some ways I want an automatic (everywhere you want to go in Monroe, you gotta jump on a highway, and 90% of the time your in bumper to bumper traffic from the people that work in Charlottle and live in Monroe)- but in some ways I want a standard- just because of "more control", and plus from riding dirtbikes and such, a automatic would "Feel weird" for a while.

I'm leaning torwards the F150 and C20 for being "set up higher", and a low truck defeats the purpuse of getting a truck IMO. The C10 looks in a lot better condition, no dents or anything, but both the C20/C10 are $600 more than the F150- and my max is about $3000.

Just seeing your guys opionions, on what you'd get and why. I'm pretty sure what I'm going to go after first, (my sig might give it away ), but I just wanna see your guys opinions. (I dont care if you say "ones ugly", because everyones different. )

C/10 hands down. I'm so tired of the low trucks can't tow BS. My truck has been lowered 2/4 and I haul/tow on a regular basis.

My vote goes to the kickass '68

Kills ya when you try to go off road though .

Personally I like the C20 looks wise, however you did mention that it was in somewhat bad shape, in which case I would opt for the F150. I like the looks of the C10 but theres just something great about riding in a big ol truck looking down on the world around you. Just my opinion, but I also enjoy doing the occasional "muddin". Good luck with the decision man. =)

That all depends on his preference then. If he'll ever go off road that is. Me, I think my truck has seen the good 'ole turf maybe once, and it was just 'cuase I wanted to do some dohnuts, lol.

Mostly back and forth from school- but one of the reasons why I wanna truck- is to haul and pull. You'd be suprised how much certain places pay for pine needles. You gotta be 21 to "be able to do it", so I give it to my uncle, he gives me 90%, he keeps the rest. Load a truck bed/trailer up with it, takes maybe 4 hours too do it with a decent sized trailer, and you come back with $200. Do it three times a day, five times a week, and you got a summer job.

I will "kinda" go into the middle of no where, but mostly its just down powerlines that really is just dirt roads, and you park it there. Nothing that that C10 couldn't do.
