Default New mini

Hi,
Just wondering whether anybody had any thoughts on the likely impact of the mini update on the used value of current models?

cheers

'07 model:

To answer your question, I believe it all depends on the demand for the older ones. The new one is bigger than the last model, and BMW did try to add a little to ride comfort. I personally like the less refined older mini. They are very similar, so I think that used values will be just like any other car.

I think the old one looks better and will hold its value. When the first gen 1 mini’s were made they had loads of problems, may be the same with the new one.

If you are referring to the "mini update" as the 2008 all lithium mini still in development, then the price might go down for used older ones, since, compared to the previous updates, the 2008 update is a major breakthrough, and is significantly different from all of the previous models.

Actually it was just a minor re-design for '07.

Old thread.

The modern MINI has been in the states for several years (6?), and I don't think it will ever die out, its still very much noticeable.

If it only wasn't for the 'barbie' like interior, to tacky/trendy, and not very usable. Maybe they should get a swedish to design the interior?

Really? If you had $35,000 for a car thats your first choice? As for me I would never buy one because I don't fit in them very well.
