Jason why in the world would you want to do that to a RX 300? Think about what that would do to the resell value! I'm not saying it couln't be done but doing something like that on a late model car that wasn't designed for a standard trans would be very expensive. These are some other things that would need to be considered with a trans conversion. Drive shaft length (axles), installation of a clutch pedal and shifter. Computer controls would also become a problem because it would no longer see sensor inputs from the auto trans. I just can't see someone having this done without spending a small fortune.

Yeah its not impossible to do, it would probaly just be better for you to buy another car with a manual transmission then to try and put one in the car.

And the price would be outragious, you would need the clutch lines, a new computer that recognizes the car as a manual transmission, its alot of work for one car. It would just be a better value to either find the same model with a manual, or you could always go with a new car.

Driving a stick is amazing, I remember my mom told me I should learn a stick, I kinda like jettas so she bought be a 5 speed jetta, the first night I went out and drove it I hated it because I could hardly do it. Now about a month later I drive it like a charm and I absolutley love it.

Ah. Your probably right, I might not want to do that. I don't want to drive an SUV for my first car though. I want to stay in the luxury side of things. I was wondering if I could trade it in and get another lexus but a car model. Or maybe something else. Any suggestions?
