Default What to look for in window deflectors?

I think I want to put window deflectors or vent visors on my Laramie. I remember looking (I usually get my stuff at autoanything) and I wasn't sure which brand or type to get. Some you glue on, some use a "mounting flange" some they don't say.

Anybody know about the advantages and disavantages of the different types?

I have had adhesive window deflectors on my Jimmy for over 5 years now. They are "Ventshade" brand. I didn't want anything that clamps or screws into the body.

I've had no problems at all. I like them because I can leave the window down a bit for ventilation and not worry about rain getting in.

The only drawbacks are that the edge is quite sharp and can hurt if your head is out the window and you hit it on the shade!
The width of the shade adds to the blind spot created by the windshield's A-pillar.

Overall I'd buy them again.

Thanks. I was worried that the adhesive might not make it through very many winters but if you're in Canada and it works for you, it should work for me.

The 3M double sided adhesive tape used by Vent shade is super strong just make sure the surface is well cleaned and you have them in the right place first before sticking and pressing. The tape is the same as what holds all the badging and emblems on you car from the factory.
