Default Focus questions

Can I run any type of MTF fluid in my focus? Also, is there any way I can adjust my clutch pedal, its REALLY soft? in my old car you had to practically stand on the clutch for it to go down. now if I rest my foot on the pedal, the clutch pedal goes down about half way (still not enough to engage the clutch though, but I don't want to risk screwing it up.

yours takes a full synthetic tranny fluid, not sure on what weight it takes, might wanna call ford and ask them or it might have it listed in the owners manual.

as far as the clutch goes you really cant adjust a hydraulic clutch and it's not good to ride with your foot on the clutch pedal..

heh I was going to do a full synthetic swap, guess all I have to do is oil (they probably already use it since its 5000 mile intervals)

your trans takes mercon V which isn't full senthetic but a switch would be a good idea.

AND NO YOU CAN'T JUST PUT ANYTHING IN A TRANS UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY TO HAVE IT REBUILT.

mobil 1 makes one and amsoil also makes one, just make sure that what you buy meets mercon v specs.

I would not worry about it. Just run what the manufacturer recommends
