Default And today's Problem(s)

I don't know if this one is really serious or its just annoying, but every time I start my car up for the first time in the morning, something squeeks in my engine compartment. I had this problem in my old car and it wound up being the belts had dry rotted after owning the car for 4 years. if its the same problem what could cause a belt to go bad after just 6 months?

Problem 2 (a bit more serious)

I went over a 3 inch snowbank today (not high but still above the bottom of my bumper) and I heard a clunk, now my car harshly veers to the left (like a serious case of torque steer.) could I possibly have knocked my alignment out or hurt something in the suspension?

thanks guys!.

sounds like you hurt something in the suspension get it checked fast it could be dangerous. The chirp could be a belt or a a misaligned pulley or bad tensioner idler check and see if any pulleys kinda wobble with the car running

1. It depends, maybe something in the belt line is off balance and could cause the belt to wear out faster than normal. Or it could be something else, try to pin point the source.

2. I would get that checked out Get an alignment.
