Default First car!

So I just got my first car today, a 2003 Toyota Corolla S. I'm pretty happy with it, but I wanted to spruce it up just a bit, to make it unique. What could I do to make it stand out? I'm definitely not going to get a body kit, for it is just a Corolla. I was thinking off the top of my head, HIDs, smoked LED tail lights, custom grill, 35% tint, new speakers, sub, amp.

My question do you want unique or to look like every other car that's owned by a 39 year old or younger.

do everyone a favor .. don't get HID's .. I hate those peoples that put HID's into their cars and blind everyone in the oncoming lane.

For the speakers and stuff like that though you came to the right place, a lot of knowledgeable people on these forums.

For one aftermarket HIDs, for most of them, are not DOT approved so they are illegal.

Same thing with tinted tail light or front lights, usually illegal.

Yeah I would not get a body kit either, most of them are ugly (In my opinion) and not done right. I also wouldnt get a spoiler as your car has no need for one. Its kinda limited after that. But its up to you.

Hmmm...how about a pizza delivery sign, that way you can start saving up for a better car to modify? (heh, sorry, it's late...I need sleep. lol)

Gah. Guess the only real modifications I can do are to tint windows and probably new deck, sub, amp?

Yeah...especially since the new stereo, sub, and amp can be carried over to your next ride. I mean, there are things you COULD do, but because of the cost/benefit ratio, you'd be better off saving your money for a car that is easier to modify, and will get you results. I'd stick to upgrades that can be transferred to your next car, if I were you.

Honestly, I do NOT understand how they haven't been outlawed on ALL vehicles, they are dangerous as hell for oncoming traffic. My car doesn't even sit as low to the ground as a lot of cars, and when I have a euro/caddy/lincoln SUV come at me in the other lane I am freaking blinded. I hate HID lights with a passion.

Ah. I guess that's logical. Saving up for a new car shouldn't be too much of a problem, I've saved 95% of the money I've made from my first job, and I didn't have to pay for this car at all. Are there any ways to make my ride more enjoyable without spending too much money?

Well honeslty not really. Most of anything you get for this car probably wont be able to transfer over to your new car. Other than say wheels, radio unit, ect.

Are you looking for looks, performance, or ride quality?
