Default 2002 Sebring 2.7l v6 no start problem

My 2002 Sebring died sitting at a traffic light, engine cranks but will not start. It has the 2.7 liter v6 R code engine. I sprayed ether into the intake and while cranking it was backfiring in the intake mainfold. Hooked up a scanner from Autozone and it said there were no codes. When you turn the key you can hear the fuel pump turn on. I have spark and compression. Could it be a sensor even though scanner showed no codes? Crank sensor maybe? Fuel filter clogged starving the engine? How do you test the crank sensor with a digital voltage meter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would definitely test the fuel pressure at the rail for starters...

replace cam and crank sensor. it's the mostlikly cause the easiest way to test them is watch for crank input on a scanner while cranking the car most scan tools can do this code readers can't. A crank or cam sensor won't set a light. Does this car have a timing belt?

replaced the cam and crank sensors and still will not start. Sprayed starting fluid into intake and still will not start, it should run for a second or so on ether even if the issue is with the fuel system, right?

Does your car have a testing valve on the front fuel rail?

ya starting fluid is bad stuff you could run it on propane but or you even getting spark or injector pulse. spark is easy disconnect a wire and put it to ground if it sparks then your getting spark. use a test light and probe the injector if the light plinks while cranking then your getting pulse hook the trest light to ground and it should be safe to probe both wires. check these things then get back.

I think you need to check your fuel pressure whether they are in good condition or not.
