![]() I have a nissan sunny 2l diesel saloon 1993 and my drivers door will no longer open. The lock seems to have seized up and I cant open it from the inside either (other doors open fine). The central locking mechanism stopped working 2 years ago, and usually as I'm driving along I will hear the locks opening and closing rapidly for a few secs at a time. dont know if this is related or not. Anyway any ideas on how I get the door open? I've tried the wire coat hanger trick but even when I've hooked onto the mechanism it still doesnt open the door.
Any help much appreciated! |

![]() Maybe try some WD-40? That has worked for me numerous times in the past to free up stuck things.
Remember, if it's supposed to move and it doesn't use WD-40 If it isn't supposed to move and it is, use Duct Tape. ![]()

![]() try taking off the door trim (the interior panel) and see if you can see anything obviously wrong, such as the unlocker arm not connected to the lock, etc.

![]() Thanks for the help folks. I've tried the wd40 which loosened up the lock but it's still not catching. And taking off the interior panel is impossible unless you can open the door in the first place! Maybe i'll try dynamite...
