Default 1995 Lincoln Continental exhaust question

I was wondering how I would go about getting a couple of glasspacks and do away with the stock mufflers. I want to get a little more performance out of the car, and I heard that doing a "muffler delete" helps. Is muffler delete when you remove the mufflers completely and just use pipes? I don't mean the mufflers in the middle cuz I am not supposed to mess with those, but the ones at the ends.

Is it easy to replace stock mufflers with glasspacks or regular pipes? I live in Idaho so emissions are not an issue.

Just take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld in whatever you want.

Those smaller mufflers are catalytic converter, i'd recommend getting a new high flow catalytic converter to replace the stock one if you're upgrading the muffler
