1989 gt mustang needs tlc. needs master cylinder and has a vibration in motor. i think it is pressure plate weight fell off. needs a quarter window and has a few small dents.
im not great with cars but my brother knows a little about mustangs and his friends know a lot about them. would it be easy to fix the problems with this car?

im looking to buy a fun car to drive while i fix it up and sell it for a profit. should i make a lower offer.

The master cylinder shouldn't be too hard, the quarter window will be a royal pain, I dunno about the motor vibration.

motor vibration could be bad, or just needs new motor mounts. Be VERY careful with that.

If you don't know for sure why that engine is shaking, don't buy it. You could have a clutch issue, or you could have a destroyed bearing or two. If you cannot for 100% certain pinpoint the vibration, and you don't feel comfortable yanking and reinstalling an engine, I wouldn't buy it.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

There has been a "GT" for at least 25 years. I think they started with 3rd gen (Fox) Mustangs, though, if you really want debate semantics, there *were* GT's in the 60's, too: IE GT350, GT500, etc.

Vibration could be a simple spark plug/wire/distributor cap.
