Default My '99 passat

I think i'm going to get my dad's 99 passat, anyone know good speakers within a reasonable range that would be good for me? front, rear and maybe a sub.

-edit for new readers-
I'm looking for speakers and an amp for my passat.
Total budget: ~$600
6 1/2" + 1" both front and rear

Need to know what size speakers it holds. I suggest pretty much the same thing to everyone for speakers subs, its just dependant of your pricerange....

Have a look through the audio section and look through the other posts about speakers. You will find most of the answeres you need.

i took a look at crutchfield.com and they recommend 6 1/2" speakers with 1" tweeters (rear). just the woofers in the front.

I'm not sure on speakers but my dad used to have a '99 Passat 1.8T and I loved that thing, but I never got to drive it because he sold it before I even had a permit you'll enjoy it, congratulations.

A good paintjob can be pricey. If it looks alright, just leave it alone, maybe just get some spots touched up if you have to.

Passat's are nice cars, my ex girlfriend's mom let me drive her's all the time, the steering was what I liked best.

If its calling for 6.5" speaker with the 1" tweeter, thats known as a component speaker. It has the midbass, which is the big cone, the crossover and the tweeter sold as a package.

Then 6.5" fullrange speakers in the front? Nice, this gives us almost an unlimited amount of speakers to choose from!

First thing i like to ask for is price. This helps me eliminate speakers that would be too much for your budget. There are speakers that go for as much as $900 for a pair of component 6.5" speakers

Lemme know what price rang your looking to spend on the speakers, and then a seperate budget for an amplifier and subwoofer(s)...

not too expensive. i have 1500 in the bank, so i'm spending some of it on computer parts. probably $500 so, that leaves me around 600 for all the speakers.

Any of the speakers mentioned above will just blow your mind! They all sound phenomenal! You wont be dissapointed if you buy either of these speakers! And feel free to mix and match them if you wish, though i persoanlly like to stick with tha same brand for a give set of parts
