Default 2004 Ford explorer

My wifes explorer has started to act up recently.

It will only happen once in awhile and be random I can't seem to force it to do this it just does it on it's own.

The ABS light will come on and stay light and the 4x4 light will flash about 5-6 times then go off for a period of time then flash 5-6 times again.

When this happens the brakes feel like they are stuttering or going to give out while holding them down when the 4x4 light if flashing if the 4x4 light isn't flashing it seems to work fine.

Also the last time this happened she stated she came to a stop at a light and the light was flashing and the car started to idle badly up/down and feel like it was going to stall any ideas?

I've peaked around the net alittle and the ABS light with flashing 4x4 light seems to be the rear ABS sensor. Just wanted to get more opinions to see if that's what other's thought also.
