I suggest checking some Z car forums before a purchase so you can find out just what's + - about the car plus what to look for when looking at a new one.

first and foremost. If it has >120K miles. you NEED to make sure it's had the 120K kit done. Second make sure they've changed the injectors within 20K miles of you buying it, they go out relatively quick. I'd just go all the way through their maintenance, and look for recurring problems, like oil leaks etc.

2 ways you can go about it. Buy a pristine NA for 7,000 TT for 10,000.

Or buy one with a bit of trouble. and maintain it from there.

If it has engine trouble, prepare to drop $3,000 on the work. Suspension, $1,500. Drivetrain $2,000. etc. etc.

You're better off replacing a whole lot of stuff while you're in the engine than just doing part by part.

300zxclub.com twinturbo.net are going to be your main resources

I haven't Dynoed it yet, but I'll estimate around 280-300RWHP.

It has been very well taken care of. My dads friend is the owner so i would get a good deal also i pretty sure he wouldn't sell me a lemon. But i would still ask for car fax and maybe having it checked at a shop.

lol. It's hard to work on, but pulling the engine to work on anything is wrong...

you have to pull the plenum, drop the subframe, or disassemble the front engine to do work.

How much? What work has been done?

Make sure the Turbos have been replaced, if not expect a HUGE discount. Oil pump would be nice too. Injectors within the past 20K miles. Look for leaks of any kind.

Drive it hard, check if the clutch slips, the rear carrier bearing clunks or anything like that. Lemme know what else you need to know.

EDIT: and what city are you in?
