Default Chrysler 300M --> Buy or Avoid?

Anything in particular to watch out for in a 300M?

I love the looks, but I want to make sure there's no major problems.

I have no idea about reliability but they are good looking and I suggest you get the monster that is the SRT-8 version wicked fast car. Hopefully someone else can give you more insight.

@Malaziel, your thinking of the 300C's which replaced the 300M's. the C's have the hemi, not the 300M's... I would think their good cars but I've never owned them, but Chrysler in general is a pretty good company

i've rented a relatively new 300C before (less than 5k milage). the engine is what you would expect from a hemi v8, the seats are comfortable but don't expect it to hold you down when you corner hard, and it's pretty roomy (i'm 6ft+). however, the interior is kind of what you expect from a civic or toyota. they used a lot of platic, and the paint they used on the platic comes off pretty easy imo. due to a heavy body weight and a soft suspension, expect body roll on hard corners.

almost forgot, i suggest you at least get the C instead of the M even though it costs more. the 300M is sort of like a paper tiger, it's all look and no bite. the mpg is not too bad as long as you don't floor it every time, though it's hard to restrain oneself when driving a car of this type

Its not a drivers car, if thats what you are looking for. Its big and heavy, more like driving a really big boat. The car is actually based on an old E class mercedes frame. If you want something that has very precises handling go with a euro car. If you are just looking for a big sedan that looks good for cruising on the highway, they are alright (priced pretty good) but if you want a drivers car go with a euro sedan, A4 or a 3 series BMW.
