Default Any Mercedes fans?

As you may be able to tell by my sig, I love Mercedes Benzes and so do my parents, that's why we have 3 Benzes and nothing else (though we have had many many other brands in the past). So I wanted to see how many of you guys also owned or just liked Benzes.

I keep going to get one, and always get steered into buying something else. I love em though. Beautiful cars.

I'm not too fond of the newer Benzes, I was in several C-classes recently and they seemed, well, "cheap". However, I am a registered worishiper or anything Gullwing. (Especialy 300SL, I hope to own one sooner or later.)

Chipp, while most Mercedes are world renowned for their quality, the latest generation of C classes, the previous generation of M classes and the first generation A class (M class and A class have been replaced by newer, much higher quality models, C class replacement is about 1 year away) are routinely found at the bottom of quality and customer satisfaction surveys Mercedes has acknowledged the problem and say that the low quality is due to their top brass feeling that Benzes were "over-engineered", they felt they could cut quality here and there to save money but immediately stopped doing so when the loyal MB fans were writing letters by the thousands and car magazines were putting benzes (mainly C classes) at the bottom of comparisons due to the cheapy feel. Basically MB would set the price of a particular model before the engineers even started designing it and they told the engineers that they HAD to meet those price guidelines no matter what so the only option was to cut costs, but I (as a loyal MB supporter ) am proud to say that they have stopped this practice and it is largely evident in the amazing S, GL and CLS classes which are the first 3 models to be produced after MB started getting their act together. Expect nothing less of the next-gen C class and all future Benzes, I doubt they'll make that mistake ever again.

No, Mercedes owns Chrysler. LOL It's actually a merger between Crysler Corp. and Daimler Benz, but there are rumors that Daimler Benz bought out Chrysler.
Check the "conroversy" section here.

I'm glad to hear that. I was kind of afraid that they were slipping.

Rofl, why is it that so many Americans think that? As was said Daimler (MB) owns Chrysler as well as many other companies (they did own much of Mitsubishi but I think they sold alot of that back and they also own Smart, Dodge (part of Chrysler) and others. In fact a lot of the new, highly popular american cars including the Chrysler 300C and Crossfire are just previous generation Mercedes Benz underpinnings with American bodies on them (and in the case of the Hemi with big 'ole American V8s lol).

I dont consider myself american. Yes, i live here and speak it, but this is not my homeland. I was born in poland and speak fluent polish, and to be honest, i dont really like the american culture. My dad told me about the chrysler thing, i didnt read up. lol
