now heres what ive been looking at
acura rsx
acura tsx
bmw 3 series xi
chevy cobalt ss
infiniti g35x
mazda 3

although automatic is preferred it isnt necessary.
right now i drive my parents 2009 acura tsx. i prefer a car that can handle extremely well.

Either Acura or the Mazda, both are great.

I prefer AWD, but it depends on your typical weather. Not just snow, but rain like we have here justifies AWD for me.

AWD is more maintenance & costs, and fuel mileage is less.

Are you talking about a Cobalt SS? If you are looking at a cobalt, do not get anything other than the turbo model, anything in the cobalt line other than that isn't worth the money, none of them hold their value and the interior on the standard cobalts is horrible.

edit: supercharger is only on older models. it is now the turbo

UM... RWD is better than FWD in snow. And just get sudded tires. You will be just fine.

thats not true. for FWD the weight of the engine creates better traction in snow and icy conditions. that is why RWD cars fishtail
