Question Which of these cars should I choose?

Greetings.

I'm thinking of buying my first car. I only have 2000 to spend and I want a car with low urban fuel consumption. Also, I'm looking for a gasoline car, not diesel.

I've narrowed my search to:

Opel Corsa 1.2 16V
Renault Clio II 1.2
Ford Fiesta 1.25 16V

The year of the cars are 1997-1999 and all have circa 130 000 km.

Which should I choose (reliability and better consumption)? Are there better options available (like Volkswagen Polo)?

Another thing: I live in a place with a lot of hills and very inclined roads. Is an 1.2 engine enough for a pleasant drive in this kind of paths?

If you have alot of hills, anything under 1.6L is not going to have enough horsepower or torque. I used to own a Nissan with a 1.6 and it had trouble with the hills on the interstate(~70mph or so), but it could still pull them fairly well on the back roads without me having to drop a gear and rev the nuts off of it.

Maybe you could look into something slightly bigger? A Mondeo perhaps? Perhaps you can find a Civic or Sentra in that price range? I don't know if Nissan renamed the 200SX, or even if they sold it at all, in your part of the world...the car I had was a 200SX 5-speed.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Renault Clio II 1.2
Ford Fiesta 1.25 16V

Man these are hard choices! I would personally go for a Corsa but (Vauxhall over here) but they are all amazing small cars to go for!
