Good news for GM, ouch for Dodge and Fiat.

Dodge has been expecting this though...

Daimler left Chrysler Co. with nothing, almost literally, and Cerebus was a money management equity firm who purchased Dodge with very little experience actually running a huge car company.

Fiat and Chrysler knew this would be an issue because there is nothing new in the lineup for Chrysler other than the new pickups and the up and coming Cherokee. That being said the bad media that Chrysler continues to unfairly receive does nothing but make things worse.

Just 24 months ago everyone praised the 300C for being such an innovative car, forward thinking, etc. Now the media bashes the 300C, makes no sense whatsoever.

The plan to infuse Chrysler with new ideas is a long term one, not this fast food nonsense that people seem to expect, which, not quite coincidentally, is what the main problem is in this country right now. All of these companies trying to show profit for "NEXT QUARTER" at any cost, not caring to even look so far as 12 months into the future. In the meantime China is on a 20 year financial plan that will destroy the United States economy unless something changes drastically, and unfortunately nothing seems to be changing. Same credit card offers arrive at my house, same misleading nonsense financial commercials on TV, business as usual. We are still spiraling out of control.

Don't go any farther than that about the united states, i don't want to have to edit posts here.

But in my opinion, Chrysler's reputation has been in the crapper for a long time thanks to crappy reliability on nearly all engines but their four bangers. And even they were mediocre.

I heard that!

Well, not so much on the 318/360 V8's and 225 L6's, but then again those were all designed long before Dodge went down the tubes.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!
