Default 2000 Neon SE serpentine belt replacement

Has the 2.0 motor, and it appears that it might be the idler pulley has gone bad. Problem is, from what I'm reading thus far, appears you have to nearly drop the motor down and pull the front motor plate to get to the thing?

Has anyone done one of these before? I know at least one of you has a PT cruiser but I don't know how many miles you put on it or if you ever needed to replace this belt or idler pulley?

I did one and we had the mounts loose with the engine lowered on stands to access it but it may have been easyier another way.

Did it require you to take off that front pulley and the plate just to get to the idler pulley assembly though?

Holy crap...

My Blazer requires you to do the following:
1) Take belt off
2) Take bolt out of pulley
3) Take pulley out
4) Put new pulley in
5) Put bolt in
6) Put belt back on.

Okay, thanks guys, I'm going to give it a shot in the morning. Right now I have a 2 year old throwing up at 2 in the morning, so I will start this 'late morning' as I took a day of leave to try and replace this item haha.

Well, I haven't gotten a dang thing done today with my little girl sick, blah, so tired. Odd that I take a day from work to do one thing and something else happens that would have had me at home anyway, isn't it weird how that works?
