Default Ford Voted 'Most Improved' in '09

Quote:
In the worst year ever for the U.S. auto industry, Ford actually bettered its standing with consumers, topping the list of the most-improved brands, according to an online BrandIndex poll based on more than 1.2 million interviews last year.

Rounding out the top five most-improved brands are Ford’s Lincoln and Mercury which came in at No.3 and No. 4.

Ford is 1st, lincoln is 3rd, and mercury is 4th... no other car brands are even on that list.

Ford actually makes a half-decent car for a good price. It doesn't suprize me that they're doing well.

I'm sure cluff would disagree, tho...

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Ford, Lincoln AND mercury in the top 4.

Lincoln doesn't even sell THAT terribly many cars...

No other car companies...

This looks fishy.

if BP was on that list, I'd say its fishy since BP is the "offically recommended fuel" of Ford.

I have no beefs about the higher end models (trucks, mustangs, etc.) Their cheap stuff just sucks balls!

BP? Ford's official fuel?

Bah. My Ford runs better on Chevron than BP.
