Default Your favorite parts store!

Post your favorite place to get parts, and perhaps even discuss why you like X parts store over Y.

For me, I love Carquest. I get NAPA quality parts for Autozone prices, and if I need machinework done, I can get it done there as well. The machinist at the CQ I go to is very good at what he does. Two flywheels and a cylinder head I've had him do, and none of them have had any issues. If there's no CQ, I will go to Napa for a major part. I'll bite the monetary bullet and get the quality stuff.

If I want to buy something like an aftermarket gauge, I'll go to Autozone. They carry Autometer gauges right on the shelf. Things like that Autozombie can't screw up.

Depends. If Autozone is much cheaper, sure i'll go there. But i don't really have much of a preference. Autozone, Napa, or RockAuto.com. I've gone to Checker/O'Reilly's/whatever they call it this week a couple times. Many things i'll buy at viking auto salvage though. Huge salvage yard. Got my tranny and tires there. $150 for four Goodyear Wranglers with 95% tread? heck yeah.

lol nice, I got a nearly brand new 1bbl for 67 bucks from a junkyard like that. Buying that over even the autozone counter was 180 bucks.

Lucky find, eh? Also, nice score on those Goodyears. I spend 150 bucks for two of mine brand new.

I haven't been to any retail stores in a long time. Oil and filters is all I buy at the store, and Wal-Mart is cheaper. Other than that, www.rockauto.com has such cheap shipping, I'd rather order quality parts from there.

I forgot to say, but mine isn't actually carquest (which I voted for), it's IPD USA.

I usually shop at O'Reilly's, 'cause my roommate works there. I like carquest, since they've usually got good prices and knowledgeable people, but they rarely stock anything...they always have to order it in. Granted, it only takes 24 hours, but I'm usually in a hurry.

I've got an Autozone about a minute from my house, so it usually gets the nod for quick-fixes... Admittedly, I usually go there to pick up a small can of bedliner for touching up a speaker cabinet rather than actual auto parts, but I guess that is a different story. My local manager has been willing to split "combo" deals for me and only give me what I need, which is great.

I usually go to Autozone 'cause that's the closest and there's not that many NAPA stores in California but when I'm home in Illinois it's a mix between the two. I usually check the prices on both and the stock they have to see which I go to.

I only go to retail stores for easily bought things... Windshield wiper fluid, brake fluid, oil, etc. I order most everything else online.

I use the dealer for pretty mucheverything on cars I like. My girl Vicky hooks me up in Vegas at Chevy and Bobby and Shawn hook me up in the NO at GM. If I do shop after market I buy from which ever one gets me the best price whether it be internet or in store. Since I usually know exactly what I want in what brand the quality is the same no matter what. If brand doesn't matter then I go to Pepboys just because I'm a X employee and know the crew there.
