Default New Guy

Hi guys, glad to be here. My name is Conner, I am from Northern California. I am a Ford guy (which is why I posted in here) and am glad to help out anyone with their issues or just shoot the crap with everyone. I am currently rebuilding the front suspension on my 1989 Ford Thunderbird. I also have a 2004 Mustang GT and 1989 F-150 Lariat 4x4. Again, I am really glad to be here.

That pickup is in remarkably good condition for an 89

Woop woop! Go mustangs!

Check this out: Check it, fastest lap yet!

Off topic: I just got done watching the latest episode of Top Gear, they were in a small Romanian village with an Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Lambo. Jeremy starts with his Borat impersonation about Richard "Did you shrink that man gypsys? What have you done? Did you shrink him?" Awesome!

I had an orgasm when I saw the trans-fagara highway... If you guys watched you know what I am talking about.

Wow, nice old F150. Sure is in much better shape than my '85.

What engine/trans does it have in it?

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

300 / M5OD

Kind of interesting, my dad bought it fully loaded with the exception of manual hubs, yet got the 6cyl and standard transmission. I like the 300 and the M5OD so I am happy with it.

I got a new muffler on Saturday, a Flowmaster Super 10 single chamber.

This is it after it was washed:

I need to post a pic of it now, snow fun wasnt good for keeping it clean.

Yeah I remember that show, it was last season (for those that keep up with the new British airings, I download them)

Oooo, awesome. 300 + manual. That's how I would have ordered it. The guy that originally ordered mine was similar. He got the Explorer trim, highest package Ford offered, then turned around and got the six instead of the 351. But I ain't complaining, it still runs to this day. GREAT engine.

I'm actually trying to find a truck similar to yours in a junkyard with a good trans to replace my four speed overdrive. The M5OD has much better gearing IMO.
