Default Cigarette lighter

I want to wire a cigarette lighter behind my radio for my new HD Radio reciever, but I have purple and white wires. which one is +, which one is - ?

The pos cable going to my fuse box is black. So therefore i call shenanigans on that remark. A cable sleeve can be whatever color it wants.

So is my starter cable. But if I hit it with a rag and some brake cleaner, it turns red. Same goes for any wire running next to my engine, over the years they've all turned the same shiney black color.
