![]() So my HD radio came in today, and I got it installed.
![]() ![]() ![]() I finally can listen to the radio without static, and I'm getting more non HD stations than ever before. The sound difference with HD is AMAZING. The CD quality is no joke! Only needed an antenna adapter for how I have it (line in, I'd rather have that than deal with a crappy radio tuner) 5 out of 5. Minus the 4 hour install. On a side note, the hissing is fixed. Spark plug had one thread in the head. The boot is covered in carbon. Tightened her down, good as new! (Here's to hoping I can get back to 400 mile tanks).

![]() Ooo, nice. Sure beats the hell out of my AM/FM/Casette radio with an analog tuner that can barely make 25W RMS. Total.

![]() it wasn't too hard. wanted something that looks almost OEM so I hid everything made sure everything fit right, etc. plus I'm sick so I wasn't going as quickly.
Basically: 1.) Remove radio 2.) decide how your going to connect (FM modulator, FM direct (connects through antenna) or 3.5 3.) run wires, decide where to mount 4.) connect 5.) enjoy.

![]() My deck is HD Radio ready. So, all I need is the proprietary (bleh) Pioneer HD Radio Antenna, and I'm good to go.
On typical cars... Eh... I wasn't aware that you could run HD Radio through non-HD Radio ready decks. |

![]() I just need to wire it to 12v switched so it turns on and off with the car. going to splice in with the radio harness.
