Default Clunking when transmission shifts

When my 200sx shifts, mainly from 1st -> 2nd, I hear a pretty loud clunk in the back right. Strut mount? Sway bar bushing?

Look under the car with a flashlight. Might see damage near the noise source.

Does it have a rear sway bar?

I got under neath it today with no conclusive results. No rear sway bar, I know that. There is a big metal bar going from the mid body to the right rear wheel, and there isn't one going to the left. That seemed a bit odd to me.

I tried shaking parts on there with bushings and didn't hear anything.

I did notice one thing today: I CANNOT recreate the noise when I bounce on the car. If I push the car forward though, it clunks when it moves back into the parked position. I hope that's a good clue as to what this is.

Are you sure it is the sway bar that is clunking? It could be the u-joints on the drive shaft that are making the noise. When the u-joints on the drive shaft are bad, there is an audible clunk when you accelerate and when slowing down basically the same motions you go through when shifting gears.
