Default I finally decided what car I am going to buy.

I decided on a Dodge Neon SRT-4. I am going to get a 2004 or 2005 since they come with larger injectors and a LSD. I wanted a newer car that was fast, would get around well in the winter, had a good amount of interior room, was easy to modify, and cheap. Basically as far as bang for the buck goes they are some of fastest, best handling cars that money can buy for their years in their price range. Going for white or black. Now I just have to find one that is close for a reasonable price.

i just raced one of those the other day and was able to stay ahead of it (thanks to my new head and custom exhaust as well as my other mods). without my mods i wouldn't have stood a chance at staying with it. they are fast though. it accelerates like crazy at 80 and faster. should do you pretty good. most unmodded cars won't hold anything to it. definetley an import killer (except maybe for the wrx or evo) good luck.

They actually smoke WRXs if they aren't STIs. The STI of course beats one. I though about getting an Evo but I just don't want to pay that much for my car every month.

If they smoke WRXs that also puts them ahead of my brand new 328i.....

Indeed. SRT-4s are not to be underestimated. The 2004-2005 models can run a 13.9 bone stock if driven properly. Put a couple thousand dollars into one and you are looking at 12s in the quartermile.

I don't know if we exactly 'smoke' WRX's... the SRT4 is quicker though. Then if you spend about 400 bucks for stage 1, WGA, you can pull half a second or more off your quarter mile time.

Decent cars... More so a highway car than strip car. FWD limits what you can do off the line. Which i think is the biggest mistake chrysler made with the car. Why all the power if you cant plant it? Should be a fun car though, and truely does have a great price per performance ratio.

I ended up buying a 3000GT VR-4 as I couldn't find any SRT-4s near me. I am actually going to be buying another car on Saturday. 1994 Audi S4. Very nice car and pretty quick stock plus you can chip them and gain around 80 hp for $400.
