Default New Car

I've finally bought the '98 Pontiac Grand I had set my eyes on. Which company is good for car insurance?

All State isn't too bad, likewise for Traveler's (my previous insurer).

I like AAA because they are cheap but have really good insurance, and also you get some of the money that you didn't use towards any claims back every year.

Honestly, depending on where you live, how old you are, and what discounts you are eligible for, different companies will be better for you. If any one company was always better the others would be out of business. If I were you I'd call around and get quotes from different companies.

And you can always do what my girlfriend did when she insured her car...she'd call one company and get their quote, then talk to another company and get a lower quote...call the first company back and say that company B beat their price by however much, and they'd say "well, now that we think about it, there is this special discount we could give you..." then she'd call the second company back and rinse and repeat. They started out quoting her $65/month, and ended up charging her $35 a month.
Long story short, it doesn't hurt to pound the pavement a bit and see what you can come up with.

I agree with you @Endo, but insurance is a necessary evil
