Default Good Porche Models

Hey, I was wondering if any of you knew of a porche model that was made after 2000, and that had more "muscle" then some of the newer ones that I have been seeing. The new ones remind me of a VW Bug. Too round and the sort.

Um how about everything up until the 997? i.e. before 2005.

I don't like the rounded lights either, I always thought the 996 lights were so cool.

The only porsche models I don't like are the Cayenne, the Boxter, the 964, the 924, and the 912. I actually like the 997 more than the 996. Kinda funny that you say the 997 looks like the bug, because Dr. Porsche designed the beetle before he started his own company.

Most of the 911's have plenty of power. Especially the 911turbo, GT3, and the beasty GT2... but the GT3/2 come with a price tag. Im personally a huge Turbo fan, one of my dream cars ever since i laid eyes on it... But the new Cayman's are awesome track cars too! A great balance of power and handling...

I think he means a more muscular appearance, try the 911 Turbo or GT2 (GT2 has a little more power but more importantly is lighter, has only 2 seats and is rear wheel drive while the Turbo is a 2+2 and has all wheel drive)

So the GT2 has more power then the 911 and the 911 has all wheel drive. Which handles better? Also what do you mean by 2+2?

2+2 means it is a 2 door but there are 4 seats, so it's the kind of car where you have to push the front seats out of the way to get into the back, just like my 318is.

I'm not sure if the 997 (current generation) GT2 is out yet or if there even will be one, but the 996 generation Turbo had ~415-420HP while the GT2 had ~450. The GT2 just had slightly larger turbos and intercoolers so they added a bit of boost, the reason people might choose a GT2 over a Turbo is the lighter weight and the rear wheel drive which handles completely differently.

The 997 Turbo has 480HP though.

Oh and, the 911 is the body type (as opposed to the Cayenne SUV or the Boxster 2 seater for example) Carrera is the regular model while Turbo, GT2 and GT3 are higher performance versions (think BMW M or Mercedes AMG) Carreras come in regular rear wheel drive and Carrera 4 all wheel drive versions as well the 911 model range is considered the most complicated of any car ever to understand but there is method to their madness.

Considered one of Porsche's top 5 best ever made cars... An absolute demon for its time!
