Default A good 0-60 Time?

Where does 5.1 sec 0 to 60 rate on the scale of cars. Is 5.1 good? How does 5.1 seconds compare to a ferrari 360, or something like that.

The 360 Modena is in the mid-low 4's in 0-60 times... But 5.1 is not slow by any means! Thats still a bit faster than most other road going cars...

A 1997 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo and the new Mustang GTs take about 5.1 seconds to go from 0-60 so that is pretty good. Would calculate into 13 second quarter mile times. What car are you looking at?

My Bimmer took 8 or 9 seconds 0-60 when it was brand new, so yeah 5.1 is very good for a "normal" car, supercars and hypercars are generally in the 3 seconds range and there are very few cars that can do it in under 3.

Like my bike!

I'm going to have to go time my V6 Buick Century. Probably in the 9 or 10 second range...

I am looking at the 07 Mustang GT.

My parents have a s600, and when you step on the pedal for that, the thing slams you in your seat. I looked at the 0 to 60 for it and it was 5.08, which seemed a little strange considering the price of that car compared to this. Is there something im missing here, or?

The 0-60 time does not determine price.

Well, what I meant by that, one of the better mid ranged priced car's with that sorta 0 to 60.

The reason your parent's Mercedes Benz is so much more expensive than a Mustang but with similar performance is that they are a luxury car first and a sports car a distant second. You are also paying for a brand name when you buy one. If you wanted you could go out and pick up a WRX STI or Lancer Evolution for $34,000 and they would destroy the Mercedes in terms of performance you just sacrifice comfort. So it all depends on what you are looking for and how much you can spend.

What would be the difference (comfort wise) between a 1979 Camero Berlinetta (What I drive now), to a 07 Mustang GT? Would the 07 be 'comfier'?
