Default Geo Tracker won't run

I have a 1992 Geo Tracker, and awhile back it just up and quit running. I assumed it was the fuel pump, because I could get it to start up using starting fluid. I tore into it today, and found that the fuel pump is still working (thank God I didn't already drop the tank) it is getting fuel all the way up to the throttle body, but none in it. Not sure if I should try to buy a different throttle body, try to rebuild, or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

It still cranks? Test for spark, test for fuel.

it cranks fine, and it has fuel to the throttle body, and it will start up with starting fluid so I know that it's sparking, just no gas going to the engine.

Sounds like either a bad injector or it's not getting injector pulse. Typically if there is no injector pulse there is no spark so not sure but I would check for spark and injector pulse first using a noid light and spark tester.

A Little more specific help Good Luck.

Got to love Geo's doesn't get much simplier. When it talks of a special tool they mean injector niod light but a tet light connected to both terminals can work just fine JUST MAKE SURE THE LEADS DON'T GROUND ANY WHERE AND JUST TOUCH THE TERMINALS OR BAMN FRIED ECM.

Bet you Teste wishes the diagram for his truck was this simple when I gave it to him.

If it's TBI, you should see it misting on the throttle blade when you crank it.

I honestly don't see why you think my Ford is so complex. Go look up the starting circuit for my minivan if you want complex.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

The ECMs are bad on those little trucks. My son had one for 10 years, and the only time it broke down was when the ECM died. Had no injector operation. I then tried another used one and had no spark. A fellow offered to repair it and he pulled it off. Ran another 5 years until it got totaled.

Does it continue to run after you use ether? I had a similar issue on a 95 1500, I still haven't figured it out. Mostly because I haven't been able to get to the truck. But on the truck the injectors are controlled largely by the temp sensor I hear. Maybe it's similar on your Geo.
