Those can make a huge difference as well.

I know I could pull a true average of 5mpg if I wanted, or on the other end, 35mpg with enough effort. Plus, did you see the truck pulling 12mpg average? That must suck..

The SFE, RCSB truck is the model I was thinking of - Compare Side-by-Side

25mpg highway estimate on the window sticker. I've heard the actual average is closer to 30 on 2x4 Ram trucks.
That Ram you linked rated at 25mpg has the 3.6L Pentastar, not the 5.7 Hemi.

I still find it hilarious that they're advertising the new V6 Ram as 36mpg in Canada

Drove the new daily to work, after getting it legal, and put gas in it.

My Civic Hybrid has 195K miles on it and is doing just fine. No, the battery pack hasn't exploded or died some horrible mileage induced death. Aside from some rattles I have no real complaints at all. >50mpg is awesome.

Even if you convert 25mpg US to mpg Imperial, that's still just 30mpg.

I've heard that since we have no standardized testing (like the EPA), manufactures are allowed to test and report fuel economy themselves. Likely then, the Ram V6 gets 36mpg (or 30mpg US) while doing a "highway" speed of 55mph, on a dyno or something similar.

Hyundai was subject to a lawsuit for advertising their non-hybrid cars at almost 60mpg (which was in no way true)
