FINALLY got my car seen by my mechanic.

Got a huge list of things...

I'm not sure if the previous owner changed the timing belt, so that's gotta be replaced. The main serpentine belt needs replaced. That bearing/brake issue I described earlier? Yeah, that's brakes and suspension components.

So, in order of priority:

Timing and serpentine belt (He's taking the serpentine off to get to the timing, might as well).

(Front End) Lower control arms (all the bushings are shot), struts (both of them are leaking), and upper strut mounts (Yup, those are shot, too).

Front brakes, rotors and pads. Rear shocks (If 2 full size adults sit in the back seat, it rides on the axle).

Transmission and brake fluid flush. Replace rear main seal (it's not a concern, though it does need replacing).

Accidentally took it into the redline... lol

Was playing around in the mud (more like wet sand, actually) and went though a big puddle, wheels lost all traction and revs shot up to about 5800 (redline is 5500, tach goes up to 6000)

When I was done messing around there was a bit of steam coming from under the hood, the temp gauge read normal and it was fine after letting it idle for a bit. Fine on the drive home too.

The aftermath... just gave it a quick wash yesterday, whoops

Got stuck a few times, but overall not bad for 2WD and street tires. just had to keep the momentum up.

Edit: Apparently the fuel cutoff for my engine is at 6250rpm. Weird because the tach only goes up to 6k. No guts after 5k though lol.

Steam = water splashed onto the manifold or exhaust. No harm done. Taking touching the redline is not bad. Remaining there is bad.

Keep in mind the tach goes up to 6 grand on these, reline is at 5000, and I've had it up to 6 with no fuel cutoff in sight...

Apparently it needed lots of repairs so the owner told him to get rid of it. So he filmed its torture.

Looks to me like it ran fine, tranny looked fine, definitely needs some shocks...

That went for a while on WOT. Coulda been a good LeMons contender. Aside from the handling...
