Default Remote start

So, its Christmas time, which means that all the money I've saved over the last few months that isn't going to tuition, books, or my ticket(s) is still getting poured down the drain. Anyway...enough ranting.

I'm trying to find a decent remote start setup for a 2002 Mirage w/ 1.5L standard (for those of you who know who this car belongs to....shuddup ). Anyway I don't need all the fancy bells and whistles. but I want something reliable and decent range.

I'm having trouble finding a place around here with a decent price that will sell just the stuff and not charge installation. Speaking of which, how hard is the installation? I assume its basically just batt, ground, and tap into the ignition wire? Should be easy, especially on the 1.5L Mirage, right?

Stick with Hornet, Python, or Viper systems. They are top quality all made by Directed electronics. Python and Viper will have a lifetime warranty.

Wiring. Have a multimeter and good strippers ready!

Bestbuy will sell just the security system/rem start without requiring you to buy the installation.
