Default Insurance?

So apparently my parents just paid off my focus. So I need to find liability only insurance. (Instead of me paying 250 a month for my car, I now have to pony over 600 for insurance.. )

So recommendations? Here's my rap sheet:

01/15/08 Failure to Yield right of way at intersection (Caused accident - my fault)
07/14/2008 Speeding 15-25mph above limit (52 in a 35)
08/26/2008 Suspension - Three months.

Well I'd first start off saying stay away from Geico. They don't like modified cars.

I'm with State Farm who seems to be pretty good. $150 a month for both my GTO and Jeep with:

- Accident back in 2007(pretty sure it's been erased since it's been 4 years)
- Speeding, 84 in a 65 in 2009. It was in Cali on the highway. Complete BS if you ask me since I was speeding up so I wouldn't get creamed by a semi doing 85 in the far right lane when I was getting on the highway.
- The newest of hitting a deer New Years day.

I've also heard Progressive is pretty good. Too bad USAA only insures military and their spouses.

I have State Farm. By far the biggest company.

But also check out Progressive and Allstate. Gotta be protected from mayhem.

State Farm....let me tell you a little story about a crappy company that is so worthless it almost overwhelms my brain to think about them.

First off this story is from about 10 years ago. You see my parents, and grandparents had all had state farm back before the 1950s. So when when I started driving in 1996 I went there too. I was paying about $800 every six months for full coverage, then I bought a new 2001 Saturn L200, and was paying like $950 every six months. But I get a bill from crappy old state farm, saying they are raising my rates based on the following.

-Speeding ticket(5 mph over or less)
-Speeding ticket(5mph over or less)

-Opening a claim for medical benefits(was in a wreck that was not my fault but the other person wouldn't produce any insurance info, so I started a claim though my insurance, but got the info the same day and closed this. They never paid a dime)
-Paid claim for damage to the saturn(a chunck of steel that was laying in the bed of a flat bed truck rolled off and I hit it, there was no way to avoid it, they did pay this claim)
-Paid claim for damage to cavalier(middle of the afternoon just outside the police station at the mall, someone broke into my car and stole my radio, they paid on this)

They determined those were all my fault(sure the speeding tickets were but when they brought this up, they were all just shy of 3 years old). And the rest is why I pay insurance. So they actually send me a bill stating that my insurance is going from $950 every six months to $2675 every six months. I actually went up to talk to the "agent or craphead" whichever you prefer to see if he was really serious and never actually saw him, everyday I would stop by, they would say he was playing golf.

Anyways, went to gieco and loved them, just decided recently to switch to progressive to save a little month. I also know allstate treats its customers right.

PS. I will make sure all my kids understand that state farm, no matter how much cheaper are the root of all evil. I hope it was worth it to state farm, they could have just had their dynasty continue forever.

You guys don't have to tell your insurance of these things, I crashed my car a year ago and fixed it up myself, didn't tell them anything, I also have lowered suspension and half leather seats (cloth as standard) and I haven't told them either. It won't make any difference, they'll never know.

Yeah State Farm has no idea i hit a mailbox.

But really, its not always that simple lemans. For example, my dad has known are State Farm agent since he was in elementary school. He doesn't screw us over. Or anyone, for that matter.
