Default What does D3,D4 mean

My dad got a new car today it's an automatic Honda Crv and in his last car Nissan sunny the automtic gear box was 1,2,D,N,R,P but in the Crv insted of D it has D3 and D4 what's the difference in them

I would really appricte the help

It is the hondamatic tranny. In d3 it increases low end torque in d4 is pretty much your overdrive gear.
