Default Electric probloems with my F150

This week my car is turned to a pile of ****. The starter went out earlier this week and now today I popped the hood to see that my battery terminal splitter was melting and slag had dripped out of it. I replaced that and whenever I hook up a charged battery the starter motor tries to push the engine. When I turn the key, nothing happens and no lights come on in the dash. FML

Any Ideas on how to get this POS working again?

Tried hitting it with a hammer still does the same thing. Could it be that the short fried the ECU?

Also does anyone have a ford ignition wiring diagram for my generation of f150?

Reverse the small wires on the solenoid and see if it starts going nuts again. I'll get outside and snap you a picture of mine tomorrow, it's hooked up the same on yours.

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.

1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!
