Default To be young again....

So I am trading our old 1987 Honda Civic for some work around the house this summer to the teenager across the street. He came over and told him about all the problems with the Honda. Then I told him about what was good with it. Then the conversations heads this way:

Him: Do you think I could get a cold air box for it?
Me: Why would you want to?
Him: I hear they can give up to 35 HP!
Me: On a car with 72 HP you will not get a 35 gain..maybe 3hp.

Him: What about an exhaust tip that will add HP and make it sound like a V8!
Me: (after the laughter and cussing subside), first off a tip won't do anything....let alone make it sound like a V8.

Him: I was thinking maybe a turbo later on.
Me: Sure just make sure your done with the car because I assure you the first time you romp on it, it will spin a main.

Him: Fine well how about a body kit?
Me: Where will you attach it?
Him: Duh the body.
Me: Which rust hole do you think will hold it on best?

Him: How am I going to make this car rock.
Me: Its a 24 year old Civic that is beat to crap, you can't make it cool. Just drive it an be happy, save your money for something that is worth spending money on.

I considered just putting a rag in the gas filler and lighting it.......

In all honesty, after that conversation, I think this is the BEST course of action for this poor, beaten, old car.

Damn, you beat me to it.

OP, you should tell him about how sweet it would look with some flashing green neons and "iced out" headlights. I.E xenon (stock in a BMW by the way ).

Lol, and i have to put up with being stereotyped because i drive a japanese car from idiot ricers like this....

I would have told him to get some APC and StreetGlow stickers, i hear they add like 20hp each, and if you have more than 5 different stickers, they compound each other to the power of 5.

I wouldn't put you anywhere near them because you have a supra which is an actual sports car that is actually fast
